Senior Software Engineer (Java) Japan

What You’ll Do

• Develop applications in the Java language for our content management system
• Work extensively with databases, displaying proficiency in SQL
• Process XML documents as part of your development duties
• Analyze a large volume of content, working comfortably with regular expressions
• Interview and analyze user requirements in Japanese and English as needed
• Collaborate effectively with the team, working onsite at the customer's office when necessary

What You Have

• 3+ years of experience in Java including J2EE, XML
• Extensive knowledge in database management and SQL
• Significant experience in testing activities
• Fluency or native skills in Japanese, paired with business-level English communication capabilities
• Experience in processing and analyzing XML documents
• Proven ability to analyze a large volume of content using regular expressions
• Familiarity in examining user requirements in Japanese; previous experience in conducting user interviews is a plus
