Lead Test Automation Engineer (Java + Guidewire) Description



The role involves leading a QA team across onsite and offshore locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system, integration, and regression testing, with a focus on Guidewire Policy Center applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a QA team across onsite and offshore locations
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using QTP/UFT, and Selenium for Guidewire and Portal applications
  • Execute automated test cases, assess outcomes, and document test results
  • Analyze system specifications to extract test requirements and develop comprehensive Test Cases/Scripts
  • Partner with QA engineers to formulate and implement an effective automation strategy
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and errors, communicating them to the Development teams
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to promote Quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Act as a single point of contact for all testing for the initiative and facilitate testing efforts for releases across multiple applications

Requirements

  • Prior experience leading a team
  • Proficient in Guidewire
  • Proficient QTP/UFT, Selenium Automation with a proven track record as an expert in the UFT Automation tool
  • Familiarity with a variety of automation frameworks, including Hybrid and Keyword-driven approaches
  • Proficient in VB Scripting
  • Experience in automating interactions with third-party applications, tools, and interfaces, especially those integrated with SAP and web portals
  • Prior experience with Microsoft TFS and Test Manager (MTM) is highly desirable
  • Specific Quality Assurance experience with Guidewire solutions in the P&C Policy lifecycle is essential
