Senior Site Reliability Engineer Description

Join our team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of an exciting project.

Our client is a unicorn startup company, whose product is the innovative supply-chain data analytic platform, providing integrated view of the suppliers, products, material categories, shipments and compliance activity, and applying artificial intelligence to deliver insights and recommendations in context of the domain and business specific of the client.

Additionally, this position requires availability during specific hours – till 7 pm CET - to accommodate essential coordination with international time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Datadog configurations and integrations for applications / infrastructure monitoring and incidents management across the IT environment
  • Configure the dashboards, rules, and automation workflows to optimize incident response and resolution times
  • Provide technical expertise and support to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Datadog and incident management
  • Document configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Continuously work to improve business continuity, backups, disaster recovery and tests
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in incident management, monitoring, and alerting

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Services Observability, Datadog, and setup of monitoring and alerting in cloud environments (AWS - must have)
  • Ability to work autonomously, keeping pace with rapidly evolving application / data platform, and perform independent investigations and improvements
  • Ability to build complex CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in Python - this is crucial for automating tasks
  • Good communication skills and proactivity, client-facing experience and desire to work directly with the Customer
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and get things done without constant supervision
  • Desire to work in a transparent and quickly moving startup environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud integrations
  • Familiarity with infrastructure end-to-end testing (Python, PyTest)
  • Knowledge of IaC / Terraform
