EPAM Success Story - S7 AIRLINES
Customer Profile Siberia Airlines (www.s7.ru), re-branded as S7 starting since 2005, is an IATA (International Air Transport Association) member that offers its passengers a developed network of flights to all major destinations in Russia and CIS. Siberia Airlines conducts regular service to Europe and South-East Asia, and is an appointed carrier to 20 countries of the world. Honored with the prestigious Air Transport "Market Leadership" award, Siberia Airlines ranks among the Top 50 carriers in terms of volume of traffic on domestic lines and among the Top 100 in terms of production figures. Situation Siberia Airlines maintained a simple self-made website with a possibility to book and buy tickets online which was developed by the in-house IT staff. The company had serious problems with the online payment service. As a result it was decided to discontinue it. The company had a clear need in an advanced and complex solution that would provide robust interactive capabilities to the users, including online booking and online payment. EPAM Systems was able to meet S7's strictest project requirements, among which were the very tight delivery schedule and the integration with a complete passenger reservations and management solution - Gabriel reservation system. Following this, S7 contracted SITA as the Gabriel system provider and EPAM as the provider of the integration services for the reservation system, Content Management System, as well as website development.
