EPAM receives ISO 9001 Certification
Princeton, NJ - March, 2002 -
EPAM, the provider of cost-effective solutions to Fortune 2000
& Blue Chip companies worldwide, has recently won ISO 9001
certification for its software development center in Minsk, Belarus.
The certificate confirms that EPAM's internal quality management
system complies with ISO 9001:2000 requirements. Adopted in 1987
by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva,
Switzerland, the ISO quality system was developed in order to
establish an internationally recognized standard of quality. It
examines all processes of a product development lifecycle including:
design, development, and technical support.
To become ISO 9001 certified, EPAM developed and implemented
a thorough Quality Assurance System that conforms to the
strict requirements of the ISO 9001 standards. EPAM has been
fundamentally committed to Total Quality Management (TQM) since
the company's inception, ensuring that EPAM's products and
services are of consistently high quality.
"The ultimate goal of EPAM's ISO certification project is
total customer satisfaction," notes Arkadiy Dobkin, the
founder and CEO of EPAM Systems. "We believe that ISO
will help EPAM maintain the level of excellence
required in today's marketplace". As an ISO 9001
certified company, EPAM has raised the standards
of its organizational discipline, maintaining its
position as a world-class IT-solutions company.
EPAM started the ISO 9001 certification process
in 2001. Certification was awarded by an accredited
certification body on February 19, 2002 after a thorough
audit of quality management system. In the future the
audit will be performed every twelve months from the
date of certification to ensure maintenance of standards.
